Q: What is Fax2China.com?

A: Fax2China is an online service that allows you to send a fax to any fax machine in China. You don't need a fax machine yourself, but you do need a valid e-mail address.


Q: How does it work?

A: Fill out the fax form, and make sure that you have provided a valid e-mail address. Attach a file or just type the text of your fax, then click the Send Fax Now button. You will be taken to the appropriate billing page of PayPal, and once you complete your payment, we'll attempt to deliver your fax.

You'll receive an e-mail message to let you know when it's delivered. Or if it can't be transmitted for some reason, an e-mail message will tell you that.

You will also get a confirmation message in your e-mail box once you complete your payment. Click the URL in that message, you can query the status of your fax at anytime.


Q: What type of documents can I send?

A: You can click the Browse... button to fax a file on your computer: you can send a PDF, Microsoft Word (.DOC or .DOCX) file, Excel spreadsheet (.XLS or .XLSX), PowerPoint slides (.PPT or .PPTX), Microsoft Visio drawing (.VSD), Plain Text (.TXT) file, or Rich Text Format (.RTF) file.

Or you can type or paste the text of your fax into to the Enter Text to Fax box.

If you attach a file, any text in the Enter Text to Fax box will be ignored.


Q: Will you put ad on the cover page of my fax?

A: Never shall we put any advertisement on your fax. Fax2China is a paid service. Since you have paid, we won't put any ad on it.


Q: How do you charge? Pay-As-You-Go or Monthly Subscription?

A: Fax2China charges you $1.99 per fax, and allows you to send 15 pages for each fax. $1.99 is all the cost for sending your fax. It's a one-time fee, no hidden charge, no strings attached. If you want to send a second fax, you have to pay $1.99 again. Therefore, it follows Pay-As-You-Go model. We don't offer monthly subscription or annual subscription to get you trapped.


Q: What if my fax failed to be delivered?

A: Our internet faxing system will try at most 5 times for each fax if the receiver's line is busy or no fax signal is detected. After the 5 attempts, if your fax is still in our pending fax queue, we will notify you via e-mail, and you can decide whether to try another 5 attempts or just get your money back.


Q: What's your privacy policy?

A: Your name, company name, e-mail address, and fax number will appear in the "Sender Information" area of the faxes that you send. Fax2China will not share your information, nor information about the people or company you send faxes to, with marketers or anyone else, unless compelled to do so by court order.

Q: How should I type the Fax # field?

A: You can but you don't need to: just enter the country code and phone number, e.g. (010) 12345678 or (10) 12345678. Parenthesis and dashes such as "(010) 1234-5678" are OK but not required.


Q: How can I know the area code for a specific city in China?

A: You can look up China area code with the help of our China Area Code Helper. The most common ones are here, 21 for Shanghai, 10 for Beijing.


Q: I am a newbie. How to fax to China from the United States?

A: We have given instructions on how to fax to China. You will also know how a typical fax number valid in China is composed of three parts, the country code, the area code (city or town code), and the local number.

Q: I don't have a fax number. What should I put in the Sender Information Fax # field?


A: You may simply leave it blank.ormation Fax # field?> Q: I tried to fax a scanned page, but it was faxed really light, or as blank pages. Why?

A: You are suggested to set your scanner to monochrome (1-bit).


Q: What is the maximum size of the fax document?

A:  The file must be under 10 MB.

Q: I have not received a final confirmation e-mail saying whether my fax was delivered. Why?

A: If you don't receive a delivery confirmation message 30 minutes after you complete your payment, chances are the e-mail message ended up in your (or your ISP's) spam folder.

When you finish paying for your fax, you will be given the URL for your fax 's status page. Keep that URL, it will show the status of your fax even if your confirmation e-mail gets lost.

Q: Can I send a fax to the United States?

A: Fax2China only handles faxes to China. To send a fax to the United States, we suggest FaxZero.
